To effectively contribute as a leader in today's manufacturing sector it is important for you to have an understanding of project direction, manufacturing design software, communications, human resources and safety practices. If you are a graduate of an engineering or engineering technology program and want to expand your knowledge, the Applied Manufacturing Management program will bolster your leadership skills aimed for a manufacturing sector. This Ontario College Graduate Certificate will help you launch your leadership career within a Canadian manufacturing environment. In this program you will apply project lifecycle techniques and develop the ability to utilize and integrate complex manufacturing design software. Team management skills will be refined to aid in meeting Canadian industry goals. Through theoretical and practical courses, you will be exposed to real life situations that arise in the workplace. You will work individually and in groups using current software to simulate the management of manufacturing initiatives while incorporating quality assurance, and process and project management techniques. You will focus on meeting challenges in a production environment from both operational and strategic perspectives in this management-tailored program.

Academic Requirement

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: To be accepted into this program, applicants must have a three-year advanced diploma or a degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineering or a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering) OR
  • A three-year advanced diploma or a degree in another discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in mechanical engineering-related work.

Scholarships

The exceptional academic achievements of prospective Conestoga students will not go unnoticed as we welcome them to our vibrant community. Starting Fall 2024, newly admitted students may be eligible for one of our prestigious scholarships as part of their acceptance


$1,500 for Grade Range 70% and above.
Any applicable scholarship will be applied to the student account in the Fall past the 10th day of the term.


CONDITIONS TO KEEP IN MIND:
Final Admission Average: Students with a final admissions average of 70% or more will be eligible for a scholarship.

Staying Enrolled: Students will need to remain registered in the degree program they are accepted to past the 10th day of the Fall term to maintain the scholarship eligibility.
