The Master of Arts (M.A.) program in Interior Architecture & Design is a thirty-six (36) unit program that will provide students with a dynamic learning environment and a curriculum to prepare them for professional practice. The curriculum covers all aspects of design, including programming, design analysis, understanding human social and spatial interaction, space planning, use of color and materials, preparation of construction documents and specifications, site observation, professional business practices, current methods of interior construction, building systems and components, codes and regulations, fixtures, furnishings and equipment.

    Scholarships

    Beginning in Fall 2024, all incoming international students are eligible to receive up to $5,000 in tuition scholarships in a combination of the below plus, the Housing Scholarship described below. STUDENTS MUST APPLY BY AUGUST 26th, 2024 to be considered for these scholarships.

    All incoming International Freshmen, transfers, and graduates are eligible to apply for a $1,000 housing allowance each semester, upon selection and purchase of a meal plan. In addition, students may be eligible for a combination of the below not to exceed $5,000 a semester.

     

    Academic Scholarships (Merit-based Scholarship):

    • Academic Excellence – Incoming international students with a GPA of 3.5 or greater in their High School or Undergraduate degree, will receive a $5,000 scholarship. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater to maintain this scholarship.
    • Academic Merit – Incoming international students with a GPA between 3.0-3.49 in their High School or Undergraduate degree will receive a $2,500 scholarship. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater to maintain this scholarship.

    Portfolio Scholarships (Talent-based Scholarship):

    • Portfolio submission – Incoming students who submit a portfolio for review of will receive a $1,000 scholarship
    • Acclaimed Portfolio – Incoming students who submit a portfolio that is deemed worthy of a course-waiver by the relevant academic department will receive a $1,500 scholarship.

    International Needs-based Scholarship:

    Student who submits a 500-word essay and/or Tuition Assistance Application may be deemed eligible for a scholarship of between $1,000 - $2,500 based on need.

     To receive any of the above scholarships, all awarded international students must remain in good standing with the university, maintain a full course load (12-credits Fall/Spring) and pay outstanding tuition in full by the Tuition Deadline.
