The environment is our surroundings. Therefore, protecting it is essential for us to live healthy lives. Modern infrastructure and technology harm the environment, and their effects impact people. That is why the Indian government has passed several laws to preserve and safeguard the environment's quality. Today, I’ll talk about a significant plastic bag ban law that the Indian government passed recently.
Plastic garbage is the primary factor contributing to the ongoing rise of solid waste in India. Every day, landfills receive millions of tonnes of plastic waste, and as it is not biodegradable, the detrimental effects of the substance persist indefinitely. When burned, it also emits toxic fumes and other pollutants that cause the animals and birds that eat it to perish. Therefore, the government has passed a law prohibiting the use of plastic bags in my nation. However, eco-friendly bags have begun to be used in malls and stores.
Additionally, plastic has diminished the attractiveness of public spaces and parks. Henceforth, the government has initiated the "No to Plastic" movement. According to this law, If anyone is caught using plastic bags will be fined 5,000 rupees, while business owners who do so will be forced to pay a penalty of 20,000 rupees. This law has greatly benefited the ecosystem.

In a world where millions of trees are being chopped down, passing a crucial law has become necessary. Currently, nature's balance is in peril, with more carbon dioxide than oxygen in the air, thanks to industrialisation and urbanisation, which devour vast tracts of forest land. The catastrophic impact of this imbalance is already unfolding before our eyes, with the melting of enormous glaciers in the Arctic region and the consequential floods engulfing great tracts of land inhabited by people.
Moreover, the extinction of trees could prove disastrous for humanity as they serve as the homes of countless birds and animals. Therefore, It is the right time to take action to preserve the natural equilibrium before it's too late! Protecting trees is essential for extending life on Earth. Here is a list of words that can relate to the environment.

FAQ
While it is better for a person to only talk about and describe one law, it is also okay to talk about more. The Cue Card task judges one's ability to effectively speak at length on a specific topic; therefore, focusing on one is better.
